This image was created using 3D Studio.  It is a 3D model with various
texures and maps applied for the surface of the ship.  The image was
rendered at a color depth of 256.  I did this because a 256 color
palette is more universally available than hi-color (32K colors or
above).  If there is a certain view of NCC-1701 someone would like see
rendered drop me an e-mail at scotts@u146.nc.vp.com and I'll see what
I can do.  (depending on lab time available)  

The likeness of starship U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 is the property of
Paramount Pictures and is used by me without permission.  I make no
profit from these images and they cannot be sold or used for profit.
